September 2008
I created a page for my Aeronca Champ flying back in August, but forgot to post it. Oops. Its there now, and so are the brief histories of the Beech 18 and Stearman Kaydet. I've
also completed recording my experiences withe Fokker SuperUniversal and Bellanca Citabria.
Although I haven't logged thousands of hours, I've been able to log air time in a number of light aircraft. In some cases, the experience has been short, sometimes only a few minutes
in length, others, for one hundred hours or more. Regardless, each of the planes that I've flown has taught me a little bit more about flying.
I'll always have fond memories of the Twin Navion since I literally grew up in it. The Citabria introduced me to tail wheels while the Scout and Aeronca Champ were my introduction to
float flying. Clark Seaborn was very generous to let me fly his Fokker Super Universal, which, like the Stearman was a fantastic introduction to pre-war, stick and rudder, seat of
your pants flying. If you're one of the pilots who's shared your planes with me - my sincere thanks.
